Famous Dance Forms
Belly Dance
Most of the actions in belly dance involve dividing different areas of the body (shoulders, hips, stomach, chest, etc.), that appear parallel to the isolations used in jazz ballet, but they are usually driven differently. In much of bellydance there's an emphasis upon the core muscles from the body producing the movement as opposed to the external muscles from the body.
Tap Dance
Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by a tapping sound that is developed from metal plates mounted on both ball and heel of the dancer's shoe. The plates of metal, when tap against an appropriate surface, produce a percussive sound and therefore tap dance is both a form of dance also since the act of playing a musical instrument.
Street Dance
Street dance, properly called as vernacular dance, which is an umbrella word used to describe dance styles that evolved beyond dance studios in any accessible open area such as parks, streets, raves, nightclubs and school yards.
Modern Ballet
Modern dance is really a dance type grown in the 20th century. Even though the word Modern dance also has been put on a group ballroom dance of Twentieth century, Modern dancing like a term usually describes Twentieth century concert dance.
